Lane Carpenter began designing and making bears in 1986 and all of her bears are original designs, created and handmade by her. She markets her bears under the company name of "Lane's Lovable Huggables".  Lane's bears are collected world wide and in addition to her own bears, the Mary Meyer Corporation, commissioned Lane to design bears for them. Their mohair collection includes "Randall" and "Kendra".(Randall was a 1997 Toby Nominee for Teddy Bear and Friends Magazine.)

Lane has also designed and created a new bear, "Webster" exclusively for Apenthe.com and we are thrilled to add him to our collection!

Christopher Werter is a self taught amateur photographer who has a fantastic, natural talent. Currently a second year student at Albany Medical College, Chris is pursuing his love of medicine, while enjoying photography as a "creative" hobby. The images he recently showed us, from a trip to New Zealand were so artistic and beautiful, it was a very hard decision choosing which ones to best represent his work.

Chris uses a fairly sophisticated, digital slr camera and some of his images have been enlarged to 40 x 48 inches with breathtaking results!
